Dermatitis neglecta of the vulva

Dermatitis neglecta (DN) is a condition that arises secondary to inadequate cleansing and self-neglect leading the accumulation of epidermal debris, corneocytes sebum. Rarely reported, it often diagnostically challenging can mimic other pathologies. It typically in cases chronic disability or psychiatric illness. We present case 72-year-old lady with extensive hyperkeratotic plaques vulva. Initial clinical impression was malignant infectious process skin biopsies were performed. However, intensive topical care education, complete resolution achieved. Frequent relapses vulval DN occurred over subsequent months, where gain identified increased attention from family friends.
